Melissa Rodriguez
Executive Director
Melissa Rodriguez is the Executive Director of Electric City, Inc. with responsibility for planning, managing and executing all vital organizational activities.
She brings an impressive background of expertise and a wealth of experience in strategic planning, project administration, economic development, grant writing and community liaison services.
Melissa’s previous work at the East Dearborn Downtown Development Authority, a quasi-government agency of the City of Dearborn responsible for redeveloping downtown Dearborn, spanned the years of 2007-2014 with a focus on downtown economic development planning, design, promotion and organization.
In addition, she contributed to the development of an adaptive reuse of Dearborn’s historic former City Hall building into affordable live/work space for artists and their families, now known as City Hall Artspace Lofts; the first of its kind in Michigan.

Lenny Rodriguez is the President and CEO of Electric City, Inc. with responsibility for ensuring the organizations' fiscal, operations, fundraising, marketing, human resource, technology, and programmatic strategies are effectively implemented across all segments of the organization.
He is a licensed, insured electrician with over 25 years of experience in residential, commercial and industrial. From 10,000 sq ft custom homes, to the mid-field terminal at the Detroit Metropolitan Airport and Ford, GM and Chrysler plants over southeast Michigan, to power houses.
Lenny is the proud owner of a successful, thriving small business who understands the needs of those struggling to make ends meet. His goal has and always will be to keep metro Detroiter’s safe electrically, at affordable prices.
His passion for helping others includes traveling to Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina and to Iowa after the flood of 2008 to rewire damaged homes.
